Secure Document Imaging (SDI) has exciting medical coding opportunities for certified medical coders and experienced nurse auditors to support its offerings to customers, including remote coding services, coding education and training services to Medicare Advantage Plans throughout the country. SDI employees work remotely, in full-time or part-time positions.
Secure Document Imaging is seeking AHIMA certified medical coders and/or AAPC certified medical coders for Hierarchical Conditional Category (HCC) coding. HCC coding is simply a subset of ICD-9 CM codes as determined by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS).
Position: Certified Medical Coders
Brief Description: The employee reviews, analyzes, and codes diagnostic information that determines Medicare Advantage insurance payments. The primary function of this position is to perform ICD-9-CM coding for reimbursement. The coding function is a primary source for data and information used in health care today, and promotes provider/patient continuity, accurate database information, and the ability to optimize reimbursement. The coding function also ensures compliance with established coding guidelines, third party reimbursement policies, regulations and accreditation guidelines.
