Scheduling Onsite Medical Record Retrievals’
We employ a professional staff who contacts provider offices to introduce and explain our process for medical record retrieval. Our staff is exceedingly knowledgeable in Medicare Advantage Risk Adjustment documentation, HEDIS© documentation, HIPAA rules and regulations, operations in medical record departments, and geographic locations of offices. To ensure the most positive outcome, we provide superior customer service to both the provider’s office and the client. Our experienced Imaging Technicians’ go onsite to provider offices, outpatient clinics, EMR administrative offices, and hospitals; and are proficient in working within our proprietary systems. In addition, they are knowledgeable in Medicare Advantage Risk Adjustment documentation, HEDIS© documentation, HIPAA rules and regulations, and operations of medical record departments. Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) coding
We have developed a pioneering system to review Medicare Advantage member medical records. Each individual medical record is reviewed by a registered nurse and a certified coder. Our review staff is proficient in the ICD-9 CM guidelines and CMS data validation audit requirements. The extensive clinical skills along with HCC coding expertise at SDI results in the discovery of new and incremental HCC codes, as well as all expiring HCC codes for the member. We pride ourselves on maintaining complete medical record compliance for HCC coding in the Medicare Advantage Risk Adjustment business.
Prepare for Data Validation Audits
Our widespread knowledge and experience with Medicare Advantage Risk Adjustment Data Validation Audits has led us to develop a service for Medicare Advantage Health Plans. SDI’s team of dedicated staff will recover the “best” medical record to submit for the CMS Data Validation Audit. We will then gather and complete all documentation for the MA Healthplan to review and submit to CMS.
